It did look like you were having some brake fade there. Didn't seem like it wanted to stop. Hey at least the bike didn't land on top of you, that woulda sucked.

I was right behind Chris for that. I pitted in/out to get in the fast group. by turn three I got threw some slow traffic and caught up to Chris and the slow control rider (BostonMoto should reevaluate there CR's that guy was scary slow). Me and a Motard were side by side just trying to keep it smooth threw 5 and I about ran into your back wheel setting up for the kink and as we all came out I saw you pass on the inside and I was going to go around on the outside but the guy kinda cut me off and by then the motard was on the inside so I got stuck behind all of you and was just cruising up to 7 watching you. You didn't have a good line threw there. I saw you way inside and thought it didn't look right even before you crashed it. There is a small pothole there in the middle of turn 7 and I wonder if you were trying to avoid turning in over that because you would have had to go right over it.

IMHO I was worried about some of BostonMoto's CR's and its a shame they let that guy wear a red shirt. You just don't expect CR's to be so bad. That particular guy was not only slow but even worse he was all over the place on and off the line all day and shouldn't have had that shirt on. He should have been riding in Novice group! What really sucked was pitting out behind the guy because the starter put them in front of every group.

While I'm ranting I'll also say that BostonMoto did a piss poor job in there rider meeting. I never heard them call Novice/intermediate in for a meeting after there introductions and never heard them go over pit in/out. They seemed to assume that with a small group there would be no reason but now I know why more organized groups make you sit in and hear it over and over again. Once they opened up the track for beginner/intermediate it got bad. There was a rider cruising down the straight and at the kink that had a hand on hip turning back to watching us come into the kink at 150. I almost crapped my leathers and I had to pass on the inside of the kink and I swear I had about 6 more inches and I would have either hit her or had to go off the inside of the kink. Either would have been disaster. I had a talk with Q but I don't think he did what he said to me which was "I'll take care of it". The very next session the same rider put a hand up and off the trottle at the entry to 7. EEK Mix in some slow CR's and it was a kind of watch out for anyone with a red shirt... I think CR's could have helped those riders that are slower instead of just doing laps which seemed to be all they were out there doing. They should have been making sure the slower riders had a CR in front and behind to pull them off line when faster traffic was coming.

That seems a little harsh man! I thought they did a really good job overall. The rider's meeting was ok, I'm pretty sure that they went over the pit in/out, you were probably just distracted by Karl's mom. LOL Yes, there were some slow CR's but they weren't a hazard. The people that were a hazard were the slow riders that were constantly looking over their shoulder. There is really no need for that, especially if you are going slow. If a slow rider feels like they are holding people up, they should have just pitted in and gone right back out behind the faster riders.

Hauling ass, then Ron almost getting pushed off the track, then slow CR, then a slight miscalculation. Green Smile I went off the track (straight) in that exact place two laps earlier so I should have learned my lesson. I was getting a bunch of brake fade and had the lever all the way back to the bar without the desired results. I should have just turned in, but I was coming in at the wrong angle. In hindsight I could have done a lot of things differently to avoid this, but what are you gonna do. Live and learn I guess!

Cheers that is an awesome vid! Damn Ron, nice riding going on in T1! Clap

haha, I always just thought that the CR's were just out there policing the riders and that's why they were going a little slower since they said if you wanted help just go get them and they would be happy to go ride with you. I saw one guy that looked like he was getting help from a CR and they were going a good pace. I did notice a couple people looking over their shoulder because they thought they were holding people up and I thought that was a little dangerous for them. As far as the CR's though, I know they are fast guys so I just assumed they were just out there to enforce the rules.

Was not my intention to be harsh but calling it like I saw it. It seemed like when the mixed groups they could have done a better job and helping the slower riders a bit more instead of just riding around. Maybe I don't understand a CR's responsibilities on the track but I never saw them with slow traffic that's for sure. For example: seeing they are really slow and letting them fall in behind them and pulling them off line to protect them from oncoming traffic and protecting the oncoming traffic by doing so. I over heard on CR jokingly comment "we like to keep our student rider ratio 1:1." since there was one for probably every 5 riders.

I have to say that was a funny video.

Target fixated, stood the bike up & went wide off the track after coming in a bit 'hot' after the pass. It's perplexing why this person didn't just go straight through the cones.

Glad it was a minor get-off.

Seriously though, there were some HUGE speed disparities out there; did this org not group riders by experience/skill level?

That is not cool & is very dangerous. Rollzeyes

OR he had traffic on his outside which prevented him from going straight and went off the track "hot" because of some severe brake fade.

They combined novice and intermediate group so that may have been the reason for the disparity

Holy crap! I just got through editing STACK's video footage I got and I ended up with a 35 minute video to do for him!

I have one short clip to do for Adam and another for Mark. After that I guess I can play with doing a clip for the day and posting it. So much footage to work with....
